Jem is a 1L interested in Sports Law and Constitutional Law. Before starting law school, she finished a PhD in Religious Studies at Stanford University. She taught courses in religious studies that were often full of student-athletes, many of whom were just beginning to explore Name, Image, and Likeness opportunities and faced significant uncertainty. She wanted to put her academic interests into practice, especially serving student-athletes and the current legal issues in sports and athletics in the U.S.
