Nicole Duarte
Gardena, CA
Nicole, a proud Latina and first-generation college graduate, immigrated to the U.S. from Costa Rica at age three. She earned her degree in Political Science from the University of California, Riverside, focusing on Law and Society. During her undergrad, Nicole interned with the Inland Empire Latino Lawyers Association and Congresswoman Norma J. Torres. After graduation, she worked as a paralegal at a boutique law firm in the South Bay, specializing in civil litigation. Now a fourth-year evening student at LLS, Nicole works full-time as a judicial assistant at the California Court of Appeal. She also serves as treasurer for the Evening Student Bar Association, is an active member of the Latinx Law Students Association, and mentors through the Young Lawyers Program. With a post-bar clerkship and associate position secured at a Brentwood trial firm, Nicole aims to inspire young Latinas to break barriers and pursue their dreams. Outside of academics and work, she is deeply involved in her local church and enjoys long-distance running.
