Lia Shirvanian

La Crescenta, CA

Lia is a second-year law student at Loyola Law School with a strong interest in civil litigation. Born in Iran, she immigrated to the United States at the age of 13, an experience that shaped her resilience and determination. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from UCLA with a degree in psychology. Before law school, Lia worked at an estate planning firm, where she gained hands-on experience navigating complex legal matters and client communication. During her 1L summer, Lia worked at Kabateck LLP, which deepened her passion for civil litigation. As a former Business Law Fellow, she developed a strong foundation in legal analysis and professionalism that continues to guide her work. She currently serves on the board of the Day Student Bar Association, Armenian Student Law Association and Legal Education Access and Development (LEAD), where she helps promote accessibility and mentorship for pre-law and current law students. Outside of her legal pursuits, Lia enjoys baking, building Legos, and camping.
